Test Your Knowledge of Foreign Policy With New Quizzes From CFR

By experts and staff

September 12, 2018—The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) has launched a new weekly feature, CFR Quizzes, designed to promote a greater understanding of foreign policy and international relations. Each Tuesday, high school and college students and anyone seeking to expand his or her awareness of world affairs can test their knowledge of world history, critical regions and countries, and a full range of policy issues.

These short, ten-question tests cover a wide variety of topics, ranging from nuclear arms control and politics of the Middle East to trade and climate change.  In addition to posing challenging questions, the quizzes provide answers that offer considerable context and explanation.  The result is an accessible and compelling tool, one designed to be used in or out of the classroom.

“CFR quizzes offer a fun and informative experience for all those interested in understanding today’s foreign policy agenda, from countries and issues in the news to historical events that continue to shape current debates. This effort—in addition to CFR’s other educational initiatives—aims to promote the knowledge and skills required to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century and to produce more informed citizens, which I believe is an essential part of our mission,” says CFR President Richard N. Haass.
