Ben Chang

Vice President of Global Communications

Ben Chang joined the Council on Foreign Relations in November 2024 as vice president for global communications. He is responsible for institutional and executive communications, internal engagement, and media relations for the Council and Foreign Affairs magazine. Previously, he served as vice president for communications at Columbia University. For almost two decades, he served as a State Department Foreign Service officer, with postings at the White House National Security Council and United Nations. He is a graduate of Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
