My August 22, 2025 piece for The Hill looks at how the MAGA movement within the Republican Party is destroying Madisonian checks and balances while fueling anti-Madisonian factionalism. The result is a dangerous lurch toward authoritarianism and a declining capacity to unite the nation behind the sort of projects which truly made America great—such as the Marshall Plan.
