Roundtable on Technology, Innovation, and American Primacy

The Roundtable Series on Technology, Innovation, and American Primacy, directed by Council on Foreign Relations Adjunct Senior Fellow James P. Dougherty, investigates how government policy promotes or hinders technological innovation. The ability of the United States to encourage and stimulate innovation has established it as the world’s economic and military leader. Technological developments over the past thirty years, however, have helped to create a globalized world of new and diverse challenges. The roundtable series examines how government strategy and policy should respond to these challenges and their impact on American geoeconomic and geopolitical interests.
