Zahira Kamal
Zahira Kamal is the first woman to lead a Palestinian political party. She previously served as minister of women’s affairs and was one of three women to participate in the 1990 Israel-Palestinian territories negotiations. 

Zahira Kamal is the head of the Palestinian Democratic Union Party, and the first woman to lead a Palestinian political party. She previously served as minister of women’s affairs in the Palestinian National Authority, and she was one of three women to participate in the negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian territories during the 1990s.
