John Paulson is the president and portfolio manager of Paulson & Co. Inc., an investment management company specializing in global merger, event arbitrage, and credit strategies. Prior to forming Paulson & Co. in 1994, Paulson was a general partner of Gruss Partners and a managing director in mergers and acquisitions at Bear Stearns. Paulson also serves on the boards of New York University, the Partnership for New York City, and the Dean’s Advisory Board of the Harvard Business School.
