Layla Naficy

Chief Human Resources Officer

Layla Naficy comes to CFR after nearly 11 years at Simons Foundation, where she helped build the HR function and grow the organization from approximately 80 to 500 employees. Over her tenure at SF,  Layla worked closely with groups across the organization ranging from computational scientists to journalists to corporate functions to align organizational objectives with unique and niched department needs. While she wore many HR hats at Simons Foundation over the years, Layla focused on talent, organizational development, staff and manager learning initiatives, and employee relations. Before Simons Foundation, Layla worked at the College Board, where she managed all new hire activities, supported customized employee development efforts and led special projects to support a variety of human resources programs. Prior to that, she worked at Philosophy IB, a boutique management consulting firm (since acquired by Heidrick & Struggles) where she designed and facilitated training programs and implemented a project management office. Layla holds an M.S. in Human Resource Management and Development from New York University and a B.A. in International Studies from Dickinson College.
