Blair Effron is cofounder of Centerview Partners LLC, a leading independent investment banking and advisory firm with offices in New York, London, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. The firm has over 250 professionals and provides advice on mergers and acquisitions, financial restructurings, valuation, and capital structure to companies, institutions, and governments. Since the founding of Centerview in 2006, the firm has advised on over $2.0 trillion in transactions and ranks among the most active firms globally in strategic advisory. The firm ranked eighth in merger activity in 2015. Additionally, the firm has a principal investing business with $750 million in investment capital for principal activity in the consumer and technology sectors.
Mr. Effron began his career at Dillon Read in 1987 and remained with the firm through successive mergers, culminating in senior positions with UBS, including group vice chairman and member of the investment bank board of directors. In his nearly thirty year career, Mr. Effron has advised Fortune 500 and multinational companies across a range of sectors including the consumer, general industrial, health care, media, and retail industries.
Mr. Effron serves on the Board of Trustees of Lincoln Center (Treasurer), the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New Visions for Public Schools, Partnership for New York City, and Princeton University. He also sits on the advisory board of the Hamilton Project, an economic policy initiative affiliated with the Brookings Institution. Mr. Effron holds a BA from Princeton University and a MBA from Columbia Business School. He is based in New York, NY.
