Julia Huesa is the special assistant and research associate to the senior vice president, director of studies, and Maurice R. Greenberg chair at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). Before joining CFR, she worked as a legal analyst at Pollock Cohen LLP, a plaintiff-side impact litigation firm. She holds a BA in social studies from Harvard College.

Venezuela boosted oil exports to China in the face of U.S. sanctions and questions over the extension of Chevron’s license to operate in the South American country. CK Hutchison Holdings agreed to sell its majority ownership of two ports at either end of the Panama Canal to BlackRock.
